The year 2024 has ended and we are about to start 2025. Activity for the year 2024 was a total of 18,869 volunteer hours contributed to the Section and the people of Missouri. The 2024 hours are down 2,788 hours from the 2023 total volunteer hours of 21,657. The bulk of the decline of volunteer hours was in training. SkyWarn Ops were up slightly from 2023 by 22 hours.
ARES membership for the Section grew in 2024 from 888 members in 2023 to 936 members at the end of 2024.
Thanks to all for the great participation in 2024 and thanks to the ECs & DECs that continue to send in the monthly reports that shows the work that we due here in Missouri ARES.

District A: Richard Fretwell, W0KRF, DEC
- Benton Co. – BC ARES Members participated in the following nets: MTN, MESN, ARES, Region A Healthcare, and various club nets.
- Cass Co. – Attended the Cass County Emergency Management meeting in Harrisonville. Meeting in Greenwood for Cass County Missouri ARES to demonstrate meshtastic radios and services in Cass County. Two new repeaters added for emergency radio services. A 70cm and a gmrs repeaters located near Raymore MO and serve a large area of western Cass County.
- Clay/Platte Cos. – NL ARES December meeting, members gathered to share good food and fellowship of the holidays.
