This report is a little late than normal but other important things have stolen my time to do this.
The Section Digital Comm Plans are being reviewed by a committee of the District ECs and a few others that are deeply involved in digital communications. More to follow as we work our way through the digital plans and update them to reflect some new technologies and possible procedure changes.
District News & Comments:
District A: Richard Frewell, W0KRF, DEC
- Benton Co. – BC ARES Members participated in the following nets: MTN, MESN, ARES, Region A Healthcare, and various club nets.
- Cass Co. – Cass county Missouri ARES continues to meet once a month with weekly nets. An exercise is being planned for September to test communication within the county.
- Clay/PlatteCos. – An introduction of the 2024 October SET exercise was discussed with the group. The request for operators participating in the event to sign-up to allow the planners to finalize the exercise details. NL ARES NTS-Radiogram support info. The relationship between the National Traffic System and associated forms Part two was presented by John, KD0NBH
District H:
- Livingston Co. – Meeting: Mapping coordinate systems & windshield damage assessment. Skywarn: SVR thunderstorm w/possible rotation Chariton Co.
