Barry Doyle, AC0WL, has been appointed DEC for District E. He has accepted the position after the death of Larry Ford, N0RIC, who became a SK after an illiness. We will miss Larry and I encourage all membes to support Barry in his new role.
Summer is passing quickly and October will be here before we know it. October is Simulated Emergency Test (SET) month. This a a great opportunity to practice your emcomm skills. I hope the ARES groups is the Missouri Section are planning exeercises.

- Benton Co. – BC ARES Members participated in the following nets: MTN, MESN, ARES, Region A Healthcare, and various club nets.
- Clay/Platte Cos. – Liberty Natl Nite Out event August 5th, plans reviewed. Update on annual “”SET”” activities. A KNOT exercise. A review of the “”Prusik”” and all its uses.”
District B: Don Vary, KD0HHN, DEC
- Macon County Had 2 ARES members K0ARS and KC0ELC went SK in July.
District H:
- Livingston Co. – Meeting reviewed VarAC, and we had a 2m FM practice net (to be reported in Aug). KC0NOX
