Missouri Section January 2024 Activity Report

It’s a new year and I wonder what it will bring. VOTA has ended and if you are looking for things to work to keep up your HF skills, try Parks on the Air (POTA). You can be a hunter or an activator of a park. Being an activator is like a mini field day where you use your portable equipment and antennas to work at a park of your choice. See the POTA website for more information.

It looks like we will be having an early spring which means severe weather season is approaching. If you have have the opportunity, attend a spotter class or go to the NWS website and refresh yourself on spotting techniques and safety practices while spotting. Skywarn® is one of our most active functions for supporting NWS with ground truth for severe storms.
