A new EC for the City of St. Louis.   Please welcome Teak Phillips, W0TLP as he takes on the job of ARES Emergency Coordinator for St. Louis City.   To the best of my knowledge it has been a long time since there has been an official ARES presence in the City so this is a great step in the right direction.  Give a thanks to Steve Wooten, KC0QMU who worked with Teak to make this happen

May is off with a Bang

Things are starting off with a bang for the month of May.  Two new EC’s and two new AEC’s all effective on May 1st.

Please pass along congratulations to the following:

Kyle Albertina  KC9IMA   New EC for Iron County in District E.   To my knowledge there has not been an ARES group in Iron County before now

Steven Pierce, WA5ICX has accepted the position of EC for St. Clair County in District D.  Again this is a brand new ARES group in a county without prior presence.

Jeffery Reppert, K0ITR has accepted the position of AEC for Lawrence County in District D.   Katherine, the previous AEC moved to the KC area.

Janet Rosier, KD0PSZ has accepted the position of AEC for Barry  County in District D.

Thanks to all of you for helping to keep the Missouri Section of ARES growing.

There has been some recent interesting traffic related to Winlink on the Missouri ARES yahoo groups.   Are you a member?

EC Changes for February, 2012

I’m happy to report that we have two AEC’s that have just stepped up to take on the position of EC for their respective county.

Rich Bundy   KC0UCF  has taken over as the EC for Scott county in District E.     Darrell will continue in his position as one of the ADEC’s for District E

Willy Adey   N0TPE has taken over as the EC for Texas county in District G.    Richard was appointed by the county to be the new Emergency Management Director which will help to insure that ARES in Texas county, with Willy at the helm, will be greatly involved in the EMD’s communication plans
