June was a busy month the the Section. Bicycles Across Missouri and Field Day contributed to a hugh amount of manhours contributed to support these activities. Field Day participation was tremendous with most districts reporting activity. I look forward to seeing the annual Field Day report in December. Missouri will be well represented.
District News:
District A: FSQCall continues to be developed as a method of passing digital traffic. Check www.kcnorthares.org for more information and daily operations times and frequencies. Cass Co. and Johnson Co. reported operating in Field Day . Jackson Co. continues planning for the National Mass Care Exercise on AUgust 24th and for SET in September.
District B: District B Counties reported 810 hours supporting the BigBAM and Field Day operations.
District C: St. Louis Metro ARES held Field Day in Jefferson Barracks Park. The Mayor of St. LOuis and St. Louis Cunty Executive issued proclamations for amateur radio week. Training was also held for 21 operators on packet and NTS messages. St. Charles Co. held Field Day at the St. Charles Co. Police Dept. and used the new 60′ tower trailer acquired by SCC Emergency Management .
District F: Camden, Cole, Boone, and Callaway Couties reported participation in Field Day. Operators from Howard Co. supported the BigBAM event.
District G: Douglas Co. held a test session with new Technicians added to their ranks and some General and Extra upgrades earned. Field Day had 25 partipants.
Districts H: ARES groups supported to BigBAM passing through their district . Livingston Co. held Field Day.
District I: Reported operations in Field Day.
