MIssouri Section Activity Report – November 2015

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. The ICS-217 Communications Resources forms for the Section are starting to be submitted. You will find the resource forms on the main page header “ICS-217 Forms”. This information is intended to be used by ARES members to find the frequencies that are used in a county for ARES communications. As more forms are submitted, they will appear on the ICS-217 forms page.

District News:

District A: Carroll County ARES members assisted in the relocation of amateur and MOSWIN antennas at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. Johnson County has a new RMS Gateway coming online for Winlink with the call WJ0EMA-10 of 145.07 MHz. Northland ARES is providing training for FLdigi/FSQ and FSQcall and using these modes on a weekly Sunday Net at 8:00PM on the 147.33 repeater.

District F: Boone County held a SET in November in conjunction with Cole County. Howard County EC also supported the SET by standing up ops at Cooper County EMA.

Power was restored after about 3 hours and full group activation was cancelled. Douglas County held a license testing session on November 21st. Wright County held their first ARES meeting.

District I: Phelps County ARES supported the Ozark Trails 100 Foot Race held on November 7th & 8th. This was a 100 mile foot race through the Mark Twain National Forest. 2M vocie and packet communications was used. Photos and a summary of the race can be seen at http://www.rollanet.org/~rrars/pictures/110715_OT100/.
